PRENATAL
Yoga Teacher Training
Feb 17 – 19, 2024
Welcome to our Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training Course. This course prepares instructors to assist students as they cross into parenthood. Creating a trend toward a more natural, holistic and safe birth environment is an exciting one. As a tool, prenatal yoga can empower birthing parents to make informed choices during pregnancy and birth.
Prenatal classes bring together elements of hatha yoga poses, breathing awareness and meditation to help expectant parents adjust to the physical and mental changes of pregnancy, labor and birth. This training is designed for yoga teachers, teacher trainees, midwives, doulas and anyone interested in developing a greater knowledge of the anatomy of pregnancy. Yoga can help to relieve common discomforts, strengthen birthing muscles, improve circulation and blood flow, stabilize emotions and develop concentration and focus – all valuable tools for labor, delivery and life as a new parent.
You will also learn how to accommodate pregnant individuals and new parents who attend regular yoga classes. This course covers anatomy and intelligent sequencing for each stage of pregnancy, yoga therapeutics, apana vayu (energy used in delivery), meditation and breathing techniques for labor and diet and nutrition during all phases of pregnancy.
